Product Details

Bring the most common vision problem, astigmatism, into clear focus! In this lab activity, students learn to identify and determine the cause of astigmatism using a set of realistic eye-test charts. The test charts allow students to detect corneal irregularities that cause blurry vision. Gray shadows appear next to solid black lines in the test charts when the shape of the cornea causes light rays to focus on different parts of the retina. Students are amazed that simple charts can give them “insight” into the shape of the eye. A great way to make science real! Complete for 30 students working in pairs.
