In this lab students will view examples of fast and slow reactions and develop a procedure to study the effects of concentration and temperature on reaction speed. Students will learn how kinetics and equilibria can be applied to better understand processes in the natural world.

In this lab students will observe how atomic structure influences material properties and also how to predict the behaviors and interactions of matter based on the electronic structures of atoms.
Flinn At-Home Live Lab 10–Thermodynamics (L10)
In this lab students will explore why chemical reactions and physical processes occur, how we can measure the energy changes associated with chemical reactions, and how we can apply the ideas of thermodynamics to build useful products like hand warmers, flameless ration heaters and cold packs.
Flinn At-Home Live Lab 11–Oxidation-Reduction and Electrochemistry (L11)
Join us for this lab as we explore redox chemistry by observing what happens when we combine metals with aqueous solutions of metal cations. We will also observe examples of how oxidation-reduction reactions are used in everyday technologies such as batteries and cell phones.
Flinn At-Home Live Lab 12–Gases in the home (L12)
Join Dr. Mike Marvel on a tour of the house to demonstrate everyday phenomena related to gases and their properties. Students will be able to access a Google Worksheet (link below) that will ask them to record a 1-2 sentence explanation of the phenomenon. As part of the live session we will come to a final explanation of the phenomenon.
