Product Details

Assemble the crystal structures of many metals with this large-scale model kit. Use the stunning, three-dimensional arrangements of atoms to explain and predict many of the physical properties of common metals. Because the two closest-packing structures, cubic and hexagonal closest packing are very similar, many students find it difficult to visualize the differences between them. Once assembled, the sturdy model can be passed around for students to create both structures and identify their unique features. Bring clarity to what is certainly a “fuzzy” image in most students' minds. Demonstration Notes included.
