Fluorescent Dyes Demonstration

Colour is a result of the interaction of light with matter. The colour that a solution appears to the human eye can change depending on the nature of the light source used to illuminate it. In this demonstration, four solutions that appear one colour under visible light will “change” colours when exposed to an ultraviolet (black) light.
