Many substances will cause hydrogen peroxide to decompose into water and oxygen gas. It deserves the science teacher’s special handling and storage attention. Substance is severely corrosive to skin, eyes and respiratory tract; very strong oxidant. Dangerous fire and explosion risk. Do not heat this substance. Wear appropriate protective clothing. TLV 1.4 mg/m3.While a 3% and 6% solution of hydrogen peroxide is very weak, it is still an oxidizer and a skin and eye irritant.
