Bring STEM and racing into the classroom as students build their own Metric Dragsters! Students learn important STEM concepts, including Newton’s laws, drag, friction, center of mass and acceleration. Each Dragster kit includes a body blank (with pre-drilled hole), 2 premium aluminum axles, 2 front wheels, 2 rear wheels, 2 screw eyes, straw, 4 brass washers and a CO2 cartridge with safety seal. Enhance the experience with the WhiteBox Learning standards-based, cloud-based Dragster 2.0 STEM Software Application (available separately). This software lets students “connect the virtual to the physical” by engineering, analyzing and simulating their designs virtually then printing templates to scale and building physical models. Kits sold individually or in packs of 25. Available with light balsa or basswood body blanks. Drill, coping saw, wood file or rasp, ruler, scissors, finish and a race system are required but not included.
