A perfect barometer for teachers on a tight budget. Non-mercurial instrument. The 5"-diameter, glass-covered dial is calibrated in inches, centimeters and millibars of mercury. The pressure range is from 705 to 795 mm Hg with an accuracy of ±3 to 4 hPa. Aneroid means that the indicator hand changes position as a result of atmospheric pressure changes on an airtight metal diaphragm. Reference hand is set by a thumbscrew. Instrument will function properly at altitudes up to 5,000 feet. Wall mounting.
