The RSpec Explorer makes spectroscopy visible to the entire classroom or lecture hall by projecting real-time light spectra and emission lines from actual sources. The system is simple to operate—position the spectrometer about a meter from the light source, connect it to a computer, and the internal camera automatically focuses and adjusts to lighting conditions. The included software displays bright, colorful spectra and generates intensity graphs for analysis, making it ideal for demonstrating spectral patterns or challenging students to identify gases in “unknown” spectrum tubes.
