A safer, non-mercury alternative. While these instruments are not as accurate as mercury-filled thermometers, they are “good enough” considering the hazards posed by mercury contamination. Available as partial or total immersion. 12" long with 1 ºC subdivisions. To prevent column separation, always store in an upright position.
