The Standard Demineralizer Cartridge offers an excellent, economical source of purified water for classroom and laboratory use. Designed for hose-nipple style connections, the cartridge attaches directly to a water source using ordinary 3/8" laboratory tubing (not included), with no special equipment or hardware required. Each cartridge is single-use and disposable. A built-in dye resin changes color to indicate exhaustion, making it simple for teachers to monitor performance. Water output will vary depending on local water quality. Teachers should check the “grain” content (dissolved solids) of their water supply to select the appropriate cartridge type. The Standard Cartridge contains a two-bed ion exchange resin with a capacity of approximately 1,650 grains of dissolved salts, making it the preferred choice when both volume and value are important. Other compatible cartridges include Ultrapure and Organic Removal types. For wall mounting, pair this cartridge with the Cartridge Wall Bracket Holder (Catalog No. AP1266), sold separately.
