Tirrill burners provide precise flame control through independent adjustment of both air and gas flow, making them ideal for advanced laboratory heating applications.
Unlike a standard Bunsen burner, the Tirrill burner features independent controls for both air and gas supply, allowing users to fine-tune flame temperature and stability. Adjustable air ports regulate oxygen intake, while a brass needle valve precisely controls gas flow for consistent performance. The burner accepts standard 3/8" inside-diameter burner tubing (Catalog No. AP8286) and can reach flame temperatures up to 1560 °C. Tirrill burners are available in configurations for natural gas, bottled liquid propane (LP) gas, or artificial gas to accommodate different laboratory gas supplies. Natural gas and bottled LP gas models are furnished with flame retainers; the artificial gas model is not.
