The flatter the surface, the better the heat transfer. An electrical input controller provides fine temperature control from ambient temperature to 538 ºC. You can reach a rapid boil in just eight minutes—that’s twice as fast as comparable hot plates we’ve tested! The square top is isolated from the die-cast aluminum base so your laboratory bench tops are protected against heat damage. The heating elements are embedded in the ceramic top so no exposed or glowing heating elements are present. Integral ringstand holder accommodates ½" diameter support rod (Flinn Catalog No. AP8228).
