Flinn Magnetic Stirrers/Hot Plates use state-of-the-art ceramics and safe heating features. Hot plate reaches a maximum temperature of 538 °C in eight minutes and the stirrer speed can be adjusted from 200 rpm to 2500 rpm.

This instrument uses state-of-the-art ceramics to provide the science teacher with a remarkable top surface. The ceramic top material offers high-impact strength, remarkable chemical resistance and a bright white color to enhance solution visibility. Stirrer speed (separate control) can be adjusted from a slow 200 rpm to a vigorous 2500 rpm. The heating elements are embedded in the ceramic top so there are no exposed or glowing heat sources. The hot plate portion of the instrument will reach maximum temperature (538 ºC) within eight minutes. Power indicator lights are provided for both functions, i.e., stirring and/or heating. Instrument provided with one Teflon-coated stirring bar, three-wire grounded cord and plug. Integral ring-stand holder accommodates ½" diameter support rod, Flinn Catalog No. AP8228. 4" x 4"—120 volts, 3.5 amps, 405 watts.
